Major Choice
One morning, Ambo asked her wife Iska.
Ambo: What’s for breakfast?
Iska: It’s there on the table. You just choose.
Ambo: But there’s only dried fish on the table. What do you mean?
Iska: What I mean is, you choose whether you will have breakfast or not.
Whether we like it or not we are always faced with choices in life whether they be major or minor. Minor choices cannot be so damaging even when a wrong decision is made. You can simply charge it to experience and consider it part of the learning. The story above is an example of a minor choice.
But there are major choices in life that we should be very careful of, because these will determine our life’s worth on earth. One example of a major choice is whether to serve the Lord or not. You can simply ignore the Lord in your life or seek Him first by serving him fully.
Joshua was once faced with this major choice. Without any doubt, he chose to serve the Lord, together with his household and that made his life so significant on earth (Joshua 24:15).
As we are faced with this major choice, may we not miss our worth by picking the right choice despite all odds in life.
